Facial Treatments

All treatments utilise the pure plant extracts of Janesce Skincare products to feed, nourish & support your skin. Formulated by a naturopath, not a cosmetic chemist, Janesce's priority lies in pure goodness for your skin.

Petite Facial 50 min $100
A facial focusing on the essentials for those who need a hydrating, botanical skin boost in under an hour. Includes a beautiful Janesce cleanse, gentle enzyme peel, herbal steam and facial mask which is designed to rejuvenate and rebalance your skin. There is no facial massage in this treatment.

Janesce Signature Facial 1 hour 20 min $145
This beautiful, botanical facial treatment begins with a thorough cleanse, followed by the Gentle Enzyme Peel to soften and clear away dead skin cells. We then envelop your skin in a warm mist of fragrant herbal steam to hydrate and oxygenate your skin. This is followed with a toning facial, neck and décolletage massage using aromatic oils. An intensive mask is blended with specific herbal tinctures to address your unique skin needs. While the mask works its magic on your skin, we treat you to a relaxing hand or foot massage. We finish with a floral mist and botanical concentrate before applying moisturiser and suncare.

Slow Beauty Luxury Facial 1 hour 20 min $165
This luxurious Slow Beauty Facial is a dreamy slow dance of massage, botanical therapy and fragrant relaxation that seems to last forever. We begin with a warm compress, followed by gentle cleansing, skin soaking and a gentle enzyme peel. From here your skin is flooded with wellbeing using the Janesce Solutions range. Re-energising Concentrate is drizzled onto the skin and Perfecting Gel applied and infused with herbal-enriched steam to hydrate and oxygenate the skin. Warmed Bestow Nourishing Facial Oil is then slowly brushed over the face and neck with a fan brush, an experience not to be missed! A slow facial and neck massage will relax you completely and prepare your skin for a botanical facial mask, blended especially for your skin needs. While the mask works its magic you will be treated to a complimentary foot or hand massage. And, just when you think it’s all over, the mask is removed with a hot compress and you are treated to a final massage, enhanced with anti-ageing and anti-oxidant products. We apply serum, lotion and sun care and complete your treatment with a scalp massage and fragrant mist.

This peptide-rich mask wrap promotes collagen production in the skin for a firmer appearance while rich oil nourishes and hydrates the skin. The essential oils and extracts of the Citrus Cardamom scent elevate the senses.

Floatation, The Quieter You Become, The More You Hear

Floatation tanks are a light and sound-free environment designed to allow the mind to drift into the deepest state of relaxation possible. This deep relaxation resets the body’s hormonal and metabolic balance, strengthening resistance to and accelerating recovery from the effects of stress, illness, injury or strenuous exercise.

The buoyancy created by dense epsom-salts removes the effects of gravity on the body creating an experience of total weightlessness. Once settled, it is virtually impossible to distinguish what body parts are in contact with the water and those that aren’t due to the 36°C water temperature. Each floatation tank contains 1000L of water with 500kg of specially formulated epsom salts added creating a depth of 30cm.

  • Integrated Chakra Light TherapyOur pods all contain integrated Soft-light therapy via LED light and control technology. Customers can choose to initiate the pod’s computerized light show at anytime which slowly scrolls through endless vibrant chakra colours. Practitioners of chromotherapy will love this feature.
  • Sanitation in the PodThe water within our floatation pods may well be the most pristine and hygienic water you will ever encounter. It undergoes, multiple times per day, a comprehensive filtration process, which removes any and all particulate. Combined with the natural disinfecting qualities of the dense Epsom salt solution and additional non-toxic disinfectant, there is no cleaner or safer water environment to relax in. Floating in a our floatation pods is many times safer than swimming in a public swimming pool or even your own backyard hot tub.
  • High Salt EffectThe water in the pod is roughly 40% magnesium sulfate (Epson Salt), essentially making the water sterile. No pathogenic organisms can survive salt concentrations above 10%.
  • FiltrationThe entirety of the water is filtered through a one-micron filter three times after every float, which filters the water to an incredible 100 times smaller than a human hair. Skimmers are also used to keep the surface completely clear.
  • ChemistryWe measure and maintain the pH, alkalinity, buoyancy and temperature of our pods constantly. We also use an additional non-toxic disinfectant in all of our float pods combined with UV light.

Our body massage treatments have been designed to be deeply restorative – and our highly-trained therapist can work out specific knots and tensions to restore balance to your mind and body. Therapeutic body massages reverse stress and tension by using touch to relax the body to calm our mental and emotional states – creating a cycle that then relaxes both our mind, body, and spirit to keep the calming and healing energy flowing within you. Regular massages have been proven to boost your immune system to fight germs and infection, and decrease the stress hormone cortisol, and increase serotonin and dopamine levels – the happy feel-good hormones.

Caving aside, it’s also the perfect way to simply explore some quality indulgence - perhaps whilst your friends are exploring underground. Common Questions

Everything you need to know.

 
  • Is there anything I should do to prepare?

    Don't drink coffee for at least 4 hours beforehand (it can make your system jittery). Also, don't shave or wax since the salt water can irritate your skin. Eating a light meal about an hour to 90 minutes ahead of time stops your stomach from growling while you float. Other than that, there's no specific preparation needed.

  • Do I need to bring anything?

    If you have longer hair, you may want to bring a comb. Also, something to put your contact lenses into while you're in the pod. Other than that, we provide everything you need (towels, earplugs, body wash/shampoo, hair dryers)

  • What if I'm claustrophobic?

    Being in the pods is more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. You're always in control of your environment, and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the pod. You can even choose to float with the door open if it makes you more comfortable.

  • Can more than one person float in a tank at a time?

    Only one person per tank. We do however have two pod rooms, so two people can come float simultaneously.

  • Do you have your own private room?

    Yes, you have your own private pod room equipped with your own personal shower, which you’ll use before and after your float. For this reason, most people do not wear a swimming costume as this presses against the body and takes away from the experience.

  • Will my skin wrinkle like it does in the bathtub?

    No. The epsom salt in the water is a natural skin emollient. Your skin will feel silky smooth.

  • Can I float if I'm pregnant?

    Absolutely, pregnant women love floating! It is safe to do so between 12 and 36 weeks. Please consult with your physician or midwife before booking.

  • Can I drown if I fall asleep in there?

    No. Some people fall asleep, but the water is so buoyant that you stay afloat. The worst that can happen is getting woken up by a bit of salt water in your eyes.

  • Do I have to stay in the whole time?

    You can get out anytime. That said, the 60-minutes usually goes by way faster than you'd expect, most people are report being quite surprised when their time is up.

  • How do you clean the Pods?

    Floating is extremely sanitary. With the combination of our filtration system, which runs at minimum three complete filtration cycle’s after every float session and with the natural bacterial killing qualities of salt, the water inside the tank is cleaner than tap water. We also use UV light and non-toxic disinfectants in all the pods.

  • Is this new-age mumbo jumbo?

    Floating has been around for over 60 years and has hundreds of published research to back it up. No mumbo or jumbo here.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes it is necessary for you to change your appointment. Out of consideration, we kindly ask that you provide a minimum of twelve hours’ notice if you wish to change or cancel your appointment. Should the appropriate notice be given, we will provide a full refund. If insufficient notice is given you will be charged at full price.

Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your booking to fully enjoy therapy. Late arrivals will result in an accordingly shorted booking and the full booking price will be charged.

Medical Conditions
Certain medical conditions or heath issues sometimes mean it is not advisable for a guest to have a therapy. Please advise us on booking of any health issues, allergies or injuries.

Pregnancy
Please advise if you are an expectant mother so we can offer you the best advice on our services most suitable for you during this special time.
